The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially released the schedule for the Central Superior Services (CSS) 2026 examination, outlining important dates for both the preliminary and written phases.
As per the announcement, the CSS 2026 exam will be held in two stages. The first phase includes the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT), which serves as a qualifying test for the written examination. The online application portal for MPT will open on August 11, 2025, and remain accessible until August 25, 2025. Interested candidates must submit their applications within this window. A public notice detailing the MPT process will be issued a day earlier, on August 10, 2025.
The MPT is scheduled to take place on November 9, 2025. Only those candidates who pass the MPT will be eligible to appear in the second phase of the exam — the written examination.
For the written phase, the FPSC will publish a separate public notice on December 14, 2025, inviting applications from MPT-qualified candidates. The application window for the written exam will run from December 15 to December 30, 2025.
According to the FPSC, the CSS 2026 written examination will officially begin on February 4, 2026. Candidates are advised to prepare accordingly and closely follow FPSC notifications to avoid missing deadlines.
The CSS examination is a competitive recruitment process for various posts in the civil services of Pakistan, and thousands of candidates apply each year. The early release of the schedule gives applicants ample time to organize their study plans and meet all application requirements in advance. Wikipedia
