Pakistan Becomes Top Exporter of Boiled Beef to China in 2025

Pakistan has taken a big leap in its meat trade this year by becoming the top exporter of boiled beef to China. According to the General Administration of Customs of China, Pakistan’s exports of boiled beef rose by 139% in value during the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year. StartUp Pakistan

Between January and June 2025, Pakistan exported about 1.03 million kilograms of boiled beef to China. The total value of these exports reached $5.24 million, which is a huge jump from $2.36 million during the same time in 2024. Not only did the volume grow, but the average price per kilogram also rose to $5.47, showing that Chinese buyers are willing to pay more for Pakistani meat because they trust its quality.

This success is largely due to Pakistan’s strict adherence to China’s food safety standards. Chinese importers prefer Pakistani meat because it is halal, clean, and freshly processed. The trust in halal meat is a key factor for many Chinese buyers, especially in regions where halal food is preferred.

In addition, strong trade agreements between Pakistan and China have helped remove barriers and boosted the ease of meat exports. These agreements have allowed more Pakistani companies to enter the Chinese market, helping them earn foreign exchange and compete globally.

Pakistan has now overtaken other regional exporters like Mongolia to become the leading supplier of boiled beef to China. This is seen as a major achievement for the country’s meat and livestock industry.

Experts in the meat industry believe that Pakistan can continue this upward trend if it maintains quality and follows international food regulations. This growing demand from China also presents a huge opportunity for Pakistani farmers and meat exporters to expand operations, create new jobs, and increase income in the agriculture and livestock sectors.

With China’s large population and rising food needs, Pakistani meat producers are well-positioned to grow even more in the future. The success of boiled beef exports could also lead to interest in other meat products, such as mutton and chicken, opening more doors for trade.

The government of Pakistan is also encouraging exporters to follow hygiene practices, improve packaging, and use modern technology for processing and shipping. These steps help ensure that Pakistani meat remains competitive, safe, and appealing to foreign buyers, especially in high-demand markets like China.

Pakistan’s rise as a top meat exporter is not just good news for business—it also boosts the country’s image as a reliable trade partner. With continued focus on quality, food safety, and timely delivery, Pakistan’s meat sector could become one of the major contributors to national exports in the coming years.

This achievement in boiled beef exports shows how Pakistani industries can succeed globally when supported with the right policies, quality control, and strong international partnerships. It is a proud moment for exporters, farmers, and policymakers who have worked hard to build trust in global markets.
